PostSecret - A Valentine Video

Post Secret is the most brilliant and fascinating project to me. I think it is wonderful that people have a place to tell something weird, sweet, scary, or even just plain ridiculous and not have to worry about who is going to know or anything.

I think the craziest part about the project though is the astronomical number of secrets that they get a day. It is kind of a sad thing to think that most people feel that they need someone anonymous to talk to about very important things, like love, death, life, and hate.

Or is it not weird? Maybe it says something about our society. I don't know. Every week I struggle with this question when I read the prayers of the kids in the youth group. Do they really want to just be heard by God? Or do they write the things they write so that someone will know? I don't know. Sometimes I feel so helpless after reading them, and I haven't really decided if that's ok with me yet. Hm.
